Cutting Chai with Bhawana Somaaya - Day 177

Jobs a guru for many
26.8.13, Mumbai
Today every film and every new venture on television has an official technology partner. Total Presentation Devices is the official technology partner for Jobs a biopic on the IT legend and Apple co-founder Steve Jobs.  The Strategic tie up is the consequence of Nandita Singgha’s(the founder of Total Presentation Devices Ltd) inspiration from the Apple’s co-founder. The film chronicles Steve’s darkest days, biggest triumphs, dreams, hopes and aspiration to change the world. Released in India on August the biopic is directed by Joshua Michael Stern and stars Ashton Kutcher, who plays the late Steve Jobs, along with Josh Gad, JK Simmons, Matthew Modine and Dermot Mulroney.

Starting out at a very young age of 13, Nandita never shied away from taking challenges head on, she has been a frontrunner in scripting Total Presentation Devices Ltd’s success. She has been chasing the dream even before the IT revolution engulfed India. Not surprising therefore that she has been following Steve Jobs and admits to him being a strong influence in her life. “What attracted me to the film is the technology and this is my opportunity to pay a tribute to my idol. We observe, we learn, we communicate, and we apply and this has been taught to us by our guru, Steve Jobs.”

Cutting Chai with Bhawana Somaaya - Day 176

Madras Café is a must visit

23.8.13, Mumbai

John Abraham produced aur Shoojit Sircar directed Madras Café Rajeev Gandhi assassination ki kahani hain.
RAW Covert Operations ke head Major Vikram Singh, yaane John Abraham, Sri Lanka Tiger Group ke head, yaane Anna ke liye aman ka prastav lekar aate hain.
Tab Vikram ko ye nahi pataa ki ye operation uske liye , department ke liye aur desh ke liye ek khatarnak chakravyuh saabit hoga.
Iss film ko dekne ki 5 wajah hain:
1. Film ka bold subject. Rajiv Gandhi ke assassination ko 22 saal ho gaye hain magar ab tak iss vishay par koi film nahi bani hai, ye pehli film hain.
2. Film ki writing. Teen writers Shubhendu, Juhi aur Somnath ka combined screenplay, well researched aur hard hitting hain.
3. Film ki refreshing casting. Lead actors John Abraham aur Nargis Fakhri ke siwaye zyadatar supporting roles mein non actors liye gaye hai jiski wajah se film aur bhi special ban jaati hain.
4. Film ki cinematography Sri Lanka ke atyachar , Cochin ki scenic beauty ya phir Delhi office ke mundane meetings... camera sab kuch capture karta hai.
5. Aur aakhir mein film ki treatment. Director Shoojit Sircar kahani ko vishay ke anusar - bagair frill ya fuss – sachai aur imandari se pesh karte hain.
Film lambi hai aur bagair any relief ya entertainment! Kuch sequences sharper edit ho sakte thhe aur kuch scene mein music ki kammi bhi mehsoos hoti hain...
Madras Café ek docu drama ki tarah strong and realistic hain jisse har Hindustani,  khaas taurpe jo post 91 generation ke hain, unhe dekhni chahiye.
Kuch filmein achhi ya burri hoti hain - aur kuch sahi ya galat. Madras Café message aur intention mein sahi film hain!!
Madras Café ko Big Entertainment Ratings milte hain 3.5 stars.

Cutting Chai with Bhawana Somaaya - Day 175

Awakening with Bhrama Kumaris

22.8.13, Mumbai

I’m on the email connection where I’m privileged to get blessed messages from the senior most Bhrama Kumari lovingly addressed as Janki Dadi by all. Every time I read her message, something that has been troubling me for a while, resolves for me.
Today I share her message on my blog in faith that something pressing will resolve for all of you reading this blog.
Dadi states that our constant attempt should be not make our life as simple as possible. We must assure that we don’t become complicated for others and they don’t become complicated for us.  We have to make an effort for others to understand us because this is the only way we can understand God.  Our lives are meant to be of service to others and if our life is complicated, how will those who come into contact with us experience God in our presence?
Every day, every moment has to be special. We have to learn to consciously adjust to any situation at any time. We have to become aware to not run after questions and discover happiness in contentment.  We have to discipline ourselves that our thoughts, words, and actions are only for service and therefore at every stage and moment we have to be conscious that our words are appropriate and of use to those around us.  If our thoughts and words are appropriate our actions will become appropriate automatically.

We have to aspire to make our lives as clean as a sparkling like a mirror that reflects not just our own deeds but those that come into contact with us as well.  When we do that we will discover that everybody connects with us easily and they don’t have to mould and adapt themselves according to my temperament or personality.  If anyone has to alter to fit into our life it is inappropriate and unfair to them.
So let us promise that nobody will ever suffer inconvenience because of us, let us aspire that we will not pose any difficulty by thought, word or action to anyone and the purpose of my presence on earth from today will be to provide service to all around me.

I will try for sure Dadi Janki and so will others reading this perhaps. Om Shanti.
