Niyogi Publishers describe themselves as Fine
publishing within reach and this gets confirmed every year end when they send
extra-ordinary calendar and brochure. It is when you flip the pages of what
they have churned in the year gone by that you realize how prolific they are.
Niyogi is one of the few publishers who have made biographies their trade mark.
Their backlist of biographies include awesome titles
like Birju Mahraj, Lata Mangeshkar, Nirad Chaudhari, Ruskin Bond, Padmapat
Singhania, Rabindranath Tagore, Sarojini Naidu, Saurav Ganguly, Sunil Gavaskar,
Zohra Segal to name a few and that is not all their new titles of biographies
include Mujibur Rahman, Maulana Azad and most interesting of all Shiv Kumar
Sharma and Prakash Padukone.
Besides biographies, the publishing house hasan
interesting mix of books on craft, current affairs, essay, history, mythology,
fiction, humour, theatre, photography, travel, art , architecture, heritage and
even speeches.
