Project Dhai Akshar
Two friends, working as volunteer teacher for a year at a
school for children living in the slums of Mumbai, held many conversations and
were inspired by their courage and resilience. Often deprived they were always
able to rise above the worst circumstances. Through their newly launched NGO
Project Dhai Akshar, the friends strive to launch a learning center where they
can productively use their time and relish a reading room, a TV area, a play
center that will enable them to pursue varied arts and crafts like music, dance
and stage.
Their goal is to rope in
professionals from various walks of life to guide children to choose
appropriate careers. As a budding
project they are looking for all kind of support from people willing to help by
way of gifts, donations, time, special skill or sanctions in terms of laptops,
books, dvds or sponsor but most important, best wishes and prayers. So those
