Heartless
Those who know Shekhar Suman are aware that he went through
a tragedy with his first born after which it took a long time for the family to
get back to normal. In the coming years while the rest of the family attempted
to live their lives on an even keel the fact was nobody had forgotten the
episode. Shekhar made a decision that the only way he could get rid of the
demons forever was to flush out the memories in an artistic expression. He got
an able team together and the fascinating journey of a thousand miles began
with a single step. After two years of reliving the trauma with his team,
actor, anchor and now filmmaker, Shekhar Suman was ready to tell the story of
his life. Launching his second son,
Adhyayan Suman with debutante Ariana Ayam , the trailer of the film will be
released today on 13 November, PVR, Andheri 8pm sharp. The event will be on
time because Amitabh Bachchan is the guest of honour to unveil the first look
of the film.
Heartless apparently based on his own life is an intriguing romantic
thriller that deals with a strange and frightening medical phenomenon called
anaesthesia awareness, a state where the patient though apparently unconscious
is conscious from within hearing sounds, experiencing pain but the body
reflects no movement. Shekhar Suman says the film has been an emotional journey
for him and is dedicated to his elder son Aayush whom he lost due to an
incurable heart disease. “Today we are more medically aware at that time we
were not. Making this film has been the biggest challenge of my life. I want to
share this experience so that anybody else in a similar situation learns from
what I went through.”
