What role does design play in the theatre? What does it take to transform a stage into a completely different world? How does a sketch on paper become a tangible, elaborate set? How do stage, set and costume design bring alive the magic of a performance?
We are absolutely thrilled to invite M.S. Sathyu - director, designer and filmmaker - to Mumbai Local.
M.S. Sathyu has spent a lifetime creating magic for diverse forms of theatre - ballet, small experimental productions, largescale spectacular theatre. He will take us into his wonderful world of theatre design, through fascinating stories from his life. We will have a chance to see and touch his beautiful, intricate designs, and understand how he 'saw' for the stage.
